The Bicycle Casino to Host the Next WSOP Academy

The World Series of Poker Academy will soon be setting up shop at The Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. Poker players from sunny SoCal will be able to take the poker course September 6th through 7th.

2008 WSOP Bracelet winner Kenny Tran who hails from LA will be among the list of poker pro instructors which include Alex Outhred and Annie Duke and Ali Nejad. They will be sharing their extensive knowledge and teaching strategies of No Limit Hold Em.  Poker-tells expert and retired FBI Special Agent, Joe Navarro will provide his expertise.  Navarro has written more than fifteen journal articles and three books on the subject of deciphering the “hidden tells” of poker.

The cost of the course is $1,499 and in addition to No Limit Hold Em strategies being taught, the course will also include workshops, handbooks and hand demonstrations.  At the end of the seminar, players will play in a tournament for the chance to win a $5K Seat to a World Series of Poker Circuit Event of their choice.

Former WSOP Academy Grad, Patty Till made it to the final table of the 2008 World Series of Poker Ladies No Limit Hold Em World Championship and finished in third place winning over $80K!  She had just completed the Ladies Only WSOP Academy led by Annie Duke.  Till attended the Academy to strengthen her poker game and fine-tune her Hold Em skills.  In her eyes, the $1,700 cost of the course was money well spent.

Another former graduate was the 2007 WSOP Ladies World Championship Winner Sally Ann Boyer who walked away with $262,077 in cash.  Boyer credits the knowledge and key concepts she gained from attending the WSOP Academy in helping to attain her win.
