The World Series of Poker Academy is set to begin on August 29th in the Chicago area’s Horseshoe Hammond Casino and Annie Duke will be teaching attendees her knowledge in the game of poker. The academy will continue until the 30th and students will be able to learn from Duke and other poker pros as they share their insight of the game.

Annie Duke is known in the poker industry as one of its stars as she has won a WSOP bracelet and has vast experience in the game. Duke is also known for charity work as she helped create the Ante Up For Africa charity.

Annie has commented on how the Academy can benefit players. She has stated that the hands- on experience from the panel are well worth the admission fee. Annie commented: “The academy is really an amazing way for poker players to take their game to the next level, whatever that next level may be for them. It is appropriate for anyone from beginner to advance. Different people take different things out of it. It really helps you take your game a step up.”

Duke also says that a player can learn more valuable information from players in a live setting rather than a DVD or book. She commented that in person you can clarify things especially in dialogue with the instructor, something you cannot do with a DVD or book. Annie commented: “You have access all day to people to whom you can speak and who can explain what everything means and how you can apply it personally to your game.”

For those who would like to learn from Duke and the other instructors of the academy can purchase the tuition for $1,899 per person. Players can visit to learn more information and sign up to attend.
