Poker Fundraiser for Cerebral Palsy at LA’s Hollywood Casino

Celebrity filled Charity Poker Tournament at Hollywood Park Casino Sunday, August 3rd.

In the fight against cerebral palsy, famed Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, California will host along with The One Step Closer Foundation (OSCF), a charity poker event August 3rd .  The tournament will feature No-Limit Hold Em with a $500 buy-in with $100 re-buys for the first ninety minutes. Each player will begin with $2,500 in chips and will receive $1,000 in chips for any re-buys. The prize pool will comprise of 50% of the take to the winning players with the other half being donated to OSCF.

Celebrities, Jennifer Tilly, Ben Affleck, Montel Williams, Mekhi  Phifer, Colin Quinn, Jamie Gold, Sam Simon, Norm MacDonald and Dennis McCoy are slated to play so far, but with the tournament being in LA, you never know who will show up last minute!

The public event will also hold a silent auction with memorabilia and prizes including “The Ray Romano Vegas Package” –  two round-trip airline tickets to Vegas with two nights at the Mirage Hotel and Casino and two tickets to see Ray Romano’s show at the Mirage and; The Brad Garrett ‘Til Death Package” – four tickets to his television show that includes a meet and greet with Brad Garrett and his co-star Joely Fisher.

OSCF founder Jacob Zalewski, who was born with cerebral palsy is hoping this poker fundraiser will not only raise awareness for cerebral palsy but also help to fund research in finding a cure for the debilitating disease.
